university which has seven faculties and a considerable number
of institutions. Some of these studies are available in

The Centre for Continuing Education at Åbo
Akademi (Fortbildningscentralen vid Åbo Akademi) offers
open university instruction and professional development programs
for various occupations. Education and training for immigrants
is offered mainly to teachers of various native languages and
assistants who work in schools, daycares and other organizations.
